Birds and Botanicals Art Show at Tofino Botanical Gardens

An art show of watercolours and printmaking to celebrate spring, birds and botanicals!..Hosting two workshops daily on site…at Tofino Botanical Gardens.

Beginners welcome, open to all ages, 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult — $60 per person materials included

Coral will guide you through watercolour techniques for painting birds and flowers. Bring your own reference photo or samples will be provided. A great opportunity to personally capture a shorebird during your visit.

The Tofino Shorebird Festival celebrates the migration of shorebirds through the Tofino area with a series of educational birding activities and events!

Allison will guide you through an ancient technique of printing with real plants from the rainforest. You will bring a visual and personal representation of the west coast home creating your very own authentic botanical print. Plants will be provided, please do not gather plants from the national or regional parks.

Westcoast Farm and Garden Show at Tofino Botanical Gardens

The West Coast Farm & Garden Show is back, are you coming?

The weekend garden show will be filled with workshops, presentations, a farmer’s co-op, seed swapping table, and hayrides all at Tofino Botanical Gardens, and organized by the Tofino Community Food Initiative.

Suggested admission donation $2 & suggested workshop donation $10

3 dates – 5 time periods

Friday, February 22 — 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Saturday February 23 — 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Saturday, February 23 — 7:00 to 9:00 pm

The following Vancouver Island experts will be giving workshops, demos, and presentations on everything food, farm & west coast:

– Food preservation with locally certified PreserveSafe trainers

This is a family friendly event – childminding will be provided by Tofino Nature Kids during the daytime program for parents attending workshops and presentations.

More details to come on our evening programming which will include a Farm-to-table Fundraiser Dinner featuring local chefs and island grown food.

2018 Tofino Food and Wine Festival June

Experience the Tofino Food and Wine Festival, a weekend of food and wine events on the west coast of Vancouver Island!

Its signature event, Grazing in the Gardens, continues to grow in popularity. Picture a showcase of local culinary talent and British Columbia wines, craft ciders and beers, in the beautiful Tofino Botanical Gardens – it’s a setting like no other.

JUNE 2, 2018 | GRAZING IN THE GARDENS SIGNATURE EVENT | 1PM-4PM

The 16th Annual Grazing in the Gardens event welcomes a community of food and drink. The afternoon includes canapes by local chefs and island purveyors, paired with BC wines and island microbrews, carefully tucked away throughout 12 acres of the rainforest, in the Tofino Botanical Gardens.

Live music with long time friends of the festival, Dinah D’s Contraband Swingclub, DJ Mr McCue and return guest bluegrass duo, One Bright Morning. Discover the local food scene on the west coast, and support the local and like-minded community of foodies.

Featuring more than 75 BC wineries, craft cideries and micro breweries, paired with gourmet canapes provided by local chefs and Vancouver Island purveyors.

This event is an annual fundraiser for the Tofino Botanical Gardens Foundation, with a Silent Auction benefitting the Wickaninnish Elementary School Garden Project.
