Dawn and dusk on the Great Wall, gardens and temples, Suzhou canals to Shanghai skyscrapers, those are the images captured last September by a 15-member cultural exchange delegation led by Vashon Island photographer, Ray Pfortner and photo stylist Nancy Wing. Locations and sites explored included five UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as classical Chinese scholar’s gardens, the Great Wall of China, the Summer Palace and many other sites from Shanghai to Suzhou and Hangzhou to Beijing.
On display at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden this fall, the exhibit was shown in Portland’s Lan Su Garden in May and Seattle’s Chinese Garden this summer.
Stay tuned for details about the Special Photography Workshops in the Garden, currently scheduled for weekend of Nov. 13-15.
