Garden Days is a national effort organised by the Canadian Garden Council and celebrated in gardens and the gardening community across Canada, in June each year. The objective is to draw attention to our garden culture, history and innovations; and to underscore the importance of public and private gardens, the values of home gardening and the promotion of environmental stewardship. The Garden Days spokesperson for British Columbia is Brian Minter.
New and exciting for Garden Days 2017, is that starting in 2017, Garden Days will become a 10-day event. This will give organizers, gardens and the public much more flexibility and organizers of events already planned for the weekend before Father’s Day the opportunity to be part of this vibrant national program.
Watch the Gardens BC page or social streams for updates on individual British Columbia gardens’ planned activities.
Dates for Garden Days 2017 are June 9 to 18, inclusive. National Garden Day will be celebrated on Friday, June 16th.
